I like both in different occasions. When I'm going out or want a dramatic look, I like the liquid. For everyday use, I like the pencil. It gives more of a subtly than WHAM HERE I AM vibe.

Make Up For For Ever's Aqua Eyes are super. They are waterproof and glide on so soft. Have you ever used cheap eye pencil before where you have to scar your poor tender eyelids to get the color on? These are not those. These will glide on like butter so there's no pulling on your eyelids. And it helps (5000x) that they are waterproof. My Asian friends and I conclude that our Asian eyes tend to become more teary and result in eyeliners that disappear after a couple hours.

The black is a staple. I have the gold. If you know me, you know how much I love gold. I kind of want to revert to my old kindergarten-self and collect all of the colors offered in Aqua Eyes like I did with Crayola crayons..

Make Up For Forever Aqua Eyes, $17

Nars Blush/Highlighter in Albatross

This was my very first highlighter ever and let me tell you, there's barely a dent in the good old thing. OK so I bought this item not knowing much about highlighters. I just read on some beauty review website that it was really great and accentuated your cheekbones. I thought it was crazy. A white blush accentuated your cheekbones? Crazy, but I bought it. Then for several months, it sat in my make-up drawer without ever being used once. Then when I felt brave enough, I started to experiment with it and it's one of my favorite items.

After I apply my contouring blush and regular cheeky blush, I apply my highlighter right above the cheek to make them pop. It's great. And even better in picture. The thing is even though albatross looks painfully white, it has really really minute shimmer and has a very muted gold tone. It makes you glisten.

Definitely a product I would buy over. And my one and only highlighter (although I want to try out Benefit's Moonbeam). I love this thing. And last words, when you see pictures of celebrities on award show pictures and their cheeks look so good.. this item will do it. :)

Nars Blush/Highlighter in albatross, $25

Murad - Energizing Pomegranate Cleanser

I am not a Murad fan. I've used their product before and I thought it was pretty overpriced and unsuitable for my skin. I've had a Murad facial before and I wasn't impressed. I guess you can say I'm sort of anti-Murad.

Keyword in the previous paragraph is "sort of." I love Murad's Pomegranate cleanser. I just finished off a bottle today. What I love is that it foams up by itself. I'm a foam cleanser fan. The products says it invigorates, exfoliates and tones your face. I can't say about the 1st two promises, but it does tone your face. It's a cleanser + toner = 1 product. I also like how it is pomegranate-based. Who knows how much pomegranate extract it really has, I just like that it does.

The cleanser leaves my combination face (dry on the cheeks, oily on the nose) very clean without that tight or oily feeling. I will definitely use this product again, but my inability to keep using one product that I love makes me go out and search for more different cleanser.

Murad Energizing Pomegranate Cleanser - $26

Benefit - Dallas Blush

I love this thing. One day I saw my friend and she looked fabulous. Her cheeks looked so cheeky. I asked her what she used and then I heard angels. So the next day I ran out to Sephora and bought Dallas. It's a nice dusty rose bronzer with really tiny bits of shimmer.

I suck my cheeks in and find where it hollows in, then using a blush brush (I don't use the brush that came with it. Blush comes out too strip-y) I swipe the blush on and blend to make it look natural. On top of this, I apply my normal blush and blend together to make it look natural. And voila, cheekbones galore.

Sometimes I would swipe some on my nose and forehead, but that's only when I'm feeling brave. Oh and sometimes I use it as a blush.

This thing is fabulous. The only blush/bronzer I have currently. And it does help that the packaging is so cute.

(I used the word "blush" to describe this product. I guess "bronzer" works better, but oh wells)

Benefit Dallas - an outdoor glow for an indoor gal face powder - $28

Beginning of it All

Hello and congratulations on me to my very 1st post on my beauty blog. Let me introduce myself. I am CJ. Those are my initials. I am Asian (Korean to be exact) and am obsessed with make-up. There's times when I buy products that I absolutely do not need or spend hours and hours reading make-up-related topics online. It's quite an unhealthy obsession, but a girl's got to live with it. I became obsessed with make-up during college. I can say during my college years, I had no idea how to apply make-up, but I was obsessed. I collected and used and collected and used. Then my last year of college, I learned the art of make-up. I learned how to use make-up to accentuate your face. I was introduced to the world of make-up.

With skincare, I was always obsessed. I wanted that great skin that everyone fanned over. I think a great made up face looks nice only on great skin. So my obsession with my skin is far more so than make-up. I love skin care. Throw a new skin care on me and watch me research it endlessly. I'm quite funny.

With that said, I usually like to look like I do not have a lot of make-up on. I am not a MAC girl. I'm just a girl living life and using make-up to make what I have look better. So everyone, hop on my blog and let's head for our adventure...
